A great success with over 30,000 spectators and owners over the weekend

A month on from the opening round at Suzuka, the second round of the Asia Pacific Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli took place this weekend at the Shanghai International Circuit, with 32 drivers competing. The crowd of over 30,000 was treated to an interesting race programme which was also shown live on www.corseclienti.ferrari.com.

Shanghai, 29 April – In the first Trofeo Pirelli race, the win went to Thailand’s Pasin Lathouras, who took the flag ahead of Ringo Chong from Singapore and Italy’s Philippe Prette. In the second race, Ringo Chong was first across the line, beating Japan’s Hisamori Hayashi and Frenchman Alain Li. The Coppa Shell was closely contested with Hong Kong’s Alex Au taking both wins, in the first beating Eric Cheung fro m Canada and Japan’s Hideki Onda, while in the second race, second and third places went to Singapore’s Gregory Teo and Cheung.

The third round of the Asia Pacific Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli takes place again at Shanghai, over the weekend of 17 June, alongside the second of this year’s Asian Ferrari Racing Days events.
